A padded collar and matching leash in nylon webbing.

The D-ring is welded closed rather than bent into shape. This is the part that fails on cheap collars — a bent ring pulls open under a hard lunge, usually next to a road, which is exactly when it matters.

The padding sits against the neck so the webbing does not rub a bald patch on a dog that pulls. Two fingers should fit between the collar and the neck; tighter and it chafes, looser and a determined dog backs out of it.

A harness is the better choice for a dog that pulls hard or has a short muzzle — ask us and we will fit one properly rather than selling you this.
